About the Designer

A long-time resident of New Haven, Connecticut USA, Kimberly Arpaia works out of a private design studio fabricating one of a kind and limited edition women's fine jewelry for both the retail and wholesale markets. A handpicked selection of Kimberly's original works are available through this site.

Kim has been designing jewelry since 2004. A self-declared "Pearl Passionist," Kim's newfound and profound passion for everything pearls early in her craft resulted in the debut of her first two jewelry collections laden with pearls in December 2006.

Since then, Kimberly received diplomas as a Graduate Gemologist, Graduate Pearls, and Applied Jewelry Professional from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), and earned GIA Certificates of Completion in pearl grading, diamond grading, colored stone grading, and gem identification.

Feminine heirloom designs created with luxurious drape for comfortable wear and meticulous attention to beauty, detail, quality, and craftsmanship are hallmarks of Kim's works. She carefully selects all components used in her designs and thoughtfully matches pearl and other gemstone pairs, sets, and suites. The Arpaia® collections include the everyday casual-vibe to special occasion extravagant glam. Each piece is carefully crafted with love and joy to be worn, adored, and treasured.

During her trade travels, Kim secures a handful of fashion jewelry finds to keep on hand for clientele. These "yummy gum drops" go quickly, yet a few pieces are chosen especially for this site.

Kim endeavors to maintain a green studio with a low carbon footprint. All components are responsibly and ethically sourced.
